Hi ! I have a 4 inches jaguar cichlid .I have him of 2 weeks and he didn't eat anything...not pellets not live fish not earthworms.....the question is : what can i do to make him eat something or what food can make him eat it .....i don't want him to die by starvation......any answers are very helpful

Is it just shy? Shut the room's lights off & get as far away as possible, where you can still see. It might be eating.
I had a female about 7 yrs ago that wouldnt eat in front of me, until she got bigger.

yes when i go to the tank it goes straightly in his stone cover and stay there and in my front yes isn't eating...the tank is 30 gallons temporary but not the tank is the problem , the jag is so the best way is to feed him and go away no ? i will do it but if the food is still there what else can i try to make him eat ??? i love him very much and i don't want him to die.

You ever try frozen foods.I did this to my oscar when i first got him.He did the same as your jag never came just hid all day.till i use bloodworms and left the room.came back its gone with a fat belly oscar! Also yes on the livebearers agree with post above

it might be another cause but now a small red plattie is in the tank and the jaguar isn't even chasing it ......i am very angry as it was very hard to find him and now he don't eat and might die by starvation.....

tried the bloodworms, how big is the platy? get some small rosie reds or something... what are you currently feeding or what have u tried.
