Hey, i was wondering what the average growth rate for a jaguar cichild was. Ive had him for a few months, and hes still only a couple inches. I would have thought that it would be similar to my oscar, but my oscar grew way faster. Hes in a 55 now, and will eventually go into a 240.

what are you feeding him? Give him a nice varied diet. A nice staple like Hikari cichlid gold, some krill as a treat or massivore delight. Frozen beef heart is good also. buy some cooked frozen shrimp thaw a couple of pieces and cut them up. He'll go crazy for that. High in protein also.
O's are some of the fastest growing Cichlids lol.

I do at least two per week, per tank and I have had Jags double in size in no time at all. Oscars grow fast as well but the Jag should'nt have a problem keeping up.

i also have a jag and a GT and im trying to beef them up i was wonder what to do to spee up growth as well
