My 1 year+ old jaguar cichlid is dieing! I got it at 2" and ending its life at 2". I do take care of my fish! This one just didn't grow. I feel so bad, this fish was so active, It the second day that it has bin looking down but now their is little movement (only gill movement). Should i somehow just ends its life so it doesn't have to go threw this pain?

wait, your jaguar never grew at all and what size tank? When I use to have a jaguar that was 3 inches,he grew to 7 inches in 5 months.

Its in a 55G. It never grew. The other jag i bought at the same time is now 10+ inches long. That was when i put it into the 125G

That is odd for the Jaguar not to grow then, cause I had mine in a 55 gallon with a GT,Oscar,JD,and Severum as a grow out tank and the Jaguar that I use to have outgrew my JD who was already 5 in half inches at the time. Also as he said it,a runt too, which i can see happening, but never ran into that issue.

sounds like a runt most of the time they are killed off from the other fry

Well i had it for 1year+ and it was the feistiest of all the fish i had. It recently has bin alot more agressive with my pike. So i think the pike has beaten it to death as it was hurt yesterday. But now its almost dead. =\

yea, i have a female flowerhorn that has been 2 " for 6 months and all of the siblings are 6"+, fish seems healthy and active even laid eggs but will most likly meet an early fate due to whatever genetic anomoly caused the stunted growth.
