hi

I was wondering if someone could help me sex this little jaguar cichlid. I know it might be a little hard since he's still small but was hoping maybe someone more experienced with parachromis could take a crack at it.

He was the biggest of the batch at the lfs and the only one that was not completely black from the same group. (Not sure if that helps any)

Thanks!

Here's some updated pictures- I think he's probably at 3.5 - growing and eating like crazy so far

I am starting to see some changes in the color pattern. Still unsure as sometimes I can see a lot of spotting (especially when he's/she's hunting for food or trying to chase the giant danios) but other times it fades. Is this normal? Do these guys go through a peeling phase like Amphilophus?

Also is venting an option with Jags?

Cheers!
