Im planning to add new fish. What should i get? juvenile wise.

Emperor cichlid or jaguar cichlid or both?

I currently have 2 pbass, 2 bichir 1 oscar, 2 albino walking catfish. They are all juveniles. Currently in a 40g and will be moved to my 600-700g(8ft L x 4ft W x 3 ft H) this December.

I’ve never owned an emperor cichlid but I currently have a young jaguar and he has been just fine with my mature red devil, Mayan cichlid for the 6 months he has been in there.

Wouldn't add neither one of them in the 40 gallon or 700 gallon. The Emperor Cichlid would probably destroy the others. The Jag would be a risk.

If you plan on separating them get an emperor, if you don't you can probably add a jag to the larger tank, provided lots of visual barriers and dither fish like monos and s.ds
