Jaguar Cichlid with Asian Arowana

I have a red asian arowana and i want a jaguar cichlid but i know that they are mean and nasty so i wanted to ask, can it be done?

I have in that tank: asian aro, fire eel, small royal knife, Blue JD, gold g Gourami and 2 ornates.

If I were you, I would try it but keep a divider/net close by and watch carefully.

Another membmer here, Koji kept a Jaguar cichlid in his aro comm for a short while I believe.

all depends on the size of ur fishes. if ur aro is somewhere close to twice the length of the jag, i don't see y not...and it'll be the jag that u have to keep an eye on, cuz he might get owned by the aro, but u don't have to worry about ur aro

If you have a 20" aro and a 6" Jag, then it's may work. If you have a 12" aro and a 10" Jag, ditch the Jag

i have a pretty laid-back jag and I wouldn't hesitate to put an aro in with it if it was large enough. it seems that jags have a wider personality range than most fish.

just remember, some can be very aggressive and they grow quickly. don't put one in w/ any aro under 10 inches, imo.

I'm keeping mine with a RTG now in another tank. So far so good but it's showing some aggression at time towards the RTG. But ended up the aggression turn against it by the RTG
