Jaguar Cichlid

I bought a jaguar cichlid he is doing fine but still, I'm wondering why does he hide so much and stays chilling all day?

Also what are the best foods for a jaguar cichlid, he is around 5 inches

Give it some time to settle in. How long have you had it? Cichlid bio gold pellets is a good place to start, a lot of this forum recommend New Life Spectrum. Both good foods IMO.

Hes young... my motaguense is pretty shy when it comes to people aswell and hes 9 inches... I beleive I've heard most parachromis are pretty shy until they hit more adult stage
