Jaguar Cichlids Male or Female

Hi. First time posting. I would like to know if anyone can identify the sex of my two jaguar cichlids. Got them as a pair, but they don’t seem to tolerate each other. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The first pic looks female, but.....they are quite young and gender characteristics need time to develop.
Females often are devoid of prominent spots on the lower gill plate and lower jaw.
And not tolerating each other well often happens with males and females, and is not a good gender determiner.
Just because they were a bonded pair in someone else's tank, doesn't mean that same bond will carry over into your tank.
