Thank you

A male jag alone wouldn't work in that tank. I'd say bare minimum for an adult pair would be 180+. You could get away with a female in there.
Even the smaller parachromis would need a 125 for a pair.

They're my favorite to. My current male is around 12"+/- ( not counting tail) at around 2-2.5yrs and makes the 125 I had the bright idea to grow him out in look very small. He's also hyper territorial. Nothing would survive in there with him. It also takes 2 big waterchanges a week minimum to keep nitrates well below 20ppm.
I had a male 8-10yrs ago that busted his females swim bladder over night in a 210 then went carpet surfing. When I put a tape on him it read 17-3/8". I hope this gives you an idea of what to prepare for.

That help a lot thank you any suggestions on much smaller predatory fish that would be good in a 100 gallon

Salvini are predatory and a more suitable size.
Still an aggressive species but more suited to 100 gallons than any of the parachromis imo.

I'd be tempted to try red istlanums. They're fairly personable, growth is slow, and they top out around 10" on average.

Keep a divider handy.
