My jag female was brutal.ramming the glass, flaring constantly when guarding eggs.to hatch was 3 days, then 2 or 3 days before free swimming.I used to wait 2 or 3 weeks then use small syphon hose or just a net

I use to what till they were a week or 2 old before. I took them out. But the male and female would eat 90% of the babies the last time I had a batch of eggs. I sat a 10 gal on the floor next to the tank on the ground and filled it with water from the big tank and took the rock with all the eggs on it. out real quick and put it in the 10gal. And almost all the eggs hatched.

If you have a tub, you can also just put the tub into the larger tank, put the rock with the eggs into the tub, then move the tub into the smaller tank (already filled with water), and then take the rock out. :D Won't have to subject the rock to air at all in that case. :))

[EDIT]

By tub I mean an ice cream tub or the likes, depending on the size of the rock.
