Jaguar fins that never heal?

I opsted many months ago of a Jaguar cichlid that was beaten up badly by some tankmates that I revived in a hospital quaranteen tank.

It has now grown quite large and is extremely aggressive, but after many months its fins still have not grown back. Is this permenant?

no idea, but sure is pretty. I think it gives him character.

it makes him look like a badass but i doubt it will ever heal back to its full potential

when my FH had all her fins ripped off they grew back in a bout a month to 2 months.
so i expect this will b it. but as long as hes swimming fine and everything its ok

He/ She is beligerent nasty to the Buttikoferi Tilapia. It is an incredibly fast swimmer and shows no signs of avoiding contact to the damaged fin area. It happened when the Jaguar was a fry ~ 1" - 2".
