My jaguars breed about 2 weeks ago, the eggs hatched within 36 hours of them laying them, They were free swimming around 7 days old.
My question: How long will does it usually take to raise them enough to sell?
I am looking to sell them right around 1.5-2.0 inches
Second question: I already have well over 150 babies, how long usually does it take until they will breed again? (im a little bit over ran at the moment)

When I had my Motas they breed every 3wks to 5wks. If I wanted to keep fry I would leave them with the parents until I saw the female swelling with eggs and then pull them and put them into a 55gal growout tank. It usually took about 2.5 months for them to reach about 1 to 1.5" by that point I would have gotten rid of most of them, sold the to the lfs or gave them away if someone wanted them. If I left them in with the parents too long once the eggs hatched the parents would eat them.

God i wish they would make a MFK-UK all you guys breed awesome fish but never English people lol!

question 1: it will take the fry 2 to 4 months to reach a nice purchase size depending on what you feed obviously

question 2: if you separated the babies from the parents you might see more fry within 30 days if they get right back to it

advise: if you are over run with fry try feeding the new fry to the older one it makes a high protein diet for them... or you can get one of those breeder boxes and keep them in their for the time being

good luck
