How come I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS SICK SICK SICK FISH!

Jesus Christ, I saw it live for the first time at a mates house, this FISH IS SEXY AS HELL! But damn AGGRO!

I never thought its such a sick fish, until i saw it LIVE! :p

I want to keep a baby (4inch) in my 4ft tank with my Flowerhorn (4inch), for a year MAX!

Lots of pipes and logs to rest in!

So suggestions please? :D

Ain't gonna happen most likely, flowerhorns are really nasty and aggressive. One would end up killing the other. If you want to keep both your best bet is to get another tank and raise the FH solo, while you could put the jaguar in a community tank depending on it's temperament and tank size as others here do have jags in thee communitys.

Eh, there's a lot of big, pretty, aggressive cichlids out there that "do it for me" more than jags. Vieja species, festae, crenicihla, cichla...

bad idea. if i remember correctly you have a 55, these guys grow quick and starting at 4" will probably be well too big for that tank within a year, however your fish wouldn't last a year cuz they would kill each other relatively quickly IMO regardless of hiding spots

it doesnt matter what any of us say. Hes going to do it anyway just like the 1234325245 other threads he has like this where he argues how it will work and its only max for a year blah blah.

Anyway, dont do it. In 3-4 months youll have an 7-8" ish size fish and nothing good can happen

I don't argue, I try to see if it works. And why would you take a shot at me for my threads? When daddy got you a gold fish, were you a pro at it mate from the very first day? No you werent.

LOL oh and I go blah blah blah?

Wanna know the funny thing though? If people kept fish according to your knowledge on "OH TANK TO SMALL, TANK TO THIN" 80% of the world's fish keepers couldn't stock fish at their homes.

So next time you try to insult me, go talk to a wall, im here to learn.

In class you put your hands up and ask the teacher questions, debating is positive. But you INSULTING me is not positive, so go talk to a wall mate.

Hehe, with the exception of the Festae, you mentioned precisely the species that, for me, when compared to Jags, are worthless....:D

they would be fine in a 55 for a year but you should always get the bigger tank first
