looks male to me. in the 3rd picture you can clearly see the V of his genitalia. most of the other pictures are not to clearly shown, due to the white patch around the genitalia. even tho those are about the clearest vent pictures i've ever seen.

The fact that it is still 23 cm after 3 years, no fin trailers, dull colour made me confused about its gender.

What are you feeding it? Does it breed often with the female? How often do you make water changes? Part of the problem may be that the fish is simply in too small of a tank to really grow at the rate that they usually do. Or he is expending a lot of energy breeding.

I ve had him for a month now. He was living in bad conditions yes.
