I have a Jaguar who seems to be spawning on a semi regular basis, there's another in the tank with her who I believe is also female. Will a female spawn regardless of the sex of the tankmate or are they a pair. They look to be the same sex and if I remove the female the other Jag will eat all the eggs.

Just want to make sure I know what to do for the best, I'm getting a much larger tank soon and hoping that with a bit of strategic decoration I'll be able to limit the territorial behavior to a small segment of the tank rather than dominating the majority which is what's currently happening.

Any advice would be great.

yes they will,, my female layed twice before i ever got a male the tank with her.

if they are not firtle not matter she will eat them. what color are the eggs?

what size jags and tank?

un fertile eggs will turn snow white with in 24 hours. fertile will be a yellow to amber in color.

Thanks for the info, They are snow white, the tank is 300L.

All good information thanks, I'll expect a bit more spawning from time to time then. I'll just make sure the new tank has a bit of separation (7x3x2)

I'm assuming tank parameters need to be good to allow spawning? I do regular testing on the water and all the parameters seem within tolerance.
