He is quite fetching! But do I see a hint of inflamation around his disk margin?
In your photos it looks a bit "reddened". Check this out and nip it in the bud if it is inflamed.

I think it is from the hard water here. My motoro does that to. It dullness around the edges comes and goes. The Teacup never does it.

Not the best looking, but as long as you have excellent filtration, you should be fine. I had mine in pure FW with 700 GPH on a 125 pond and never had a problem.
