I have 3 jaguar cichlids in a 5 ft 125G I've had them 3 weeks today. When I got them they was only around 2cm and used to swim around together (I Knew this wouldn't last). There now around the 2/2.5 inch mark and one of them completely owns the tank, I have one hiding behind the filter and another behind the filter return. There's loads of cover in the tank in wood and rocks and artificial plants, I thought i would get them to 4 maybe 5 inch befor I had any real issues. Is this common in other people's experience I knew one would be dominant but this one is next level aggressive compared to the other 2.

One of the most aggressive cichlids, what did you expect lol

just remove 2 and it will be settled, they would kill each other off

Yes it is common from aggressive cichlids. Some folks go through a batch of 8 and still end up with only 1.

3 is such a small number to spread aggression even in what are called mildly aggressive cichlids like severums.

Take note of the aggression on the one you want to keep. It won't get any better if you decide to put tank mates with the most aggressive one.

I never expected Such aggression so young, I'll probably keep the aggressive one anyways as I'm growing out for a solo wet pet. I just never expected one to hold the tank at this young age.

I just got a bunch of little Chanchos 4 (with 3 others on the way) around 3-4.5 inches or so and omg...it is Thunderdome. Straight from Highlander..."There can only be one" lol. My hope is to get a pair out of the bunch, but these guys/gals are mean af and I have a feeling i am going to be left with 1 tiny Chancho in a big tank by himself pretty soon. I can only imagine little Jags...they are mean and get to good size pretty quick too. Jags an awesome fish.

Most cichlid brothers and sisters start killing each other off as soon as they become free swimming, its just not obvious in a giant shoal.
Its all about allocation of available resourses, and space.
When young they need to be constantly fed small meals many times per day.
Nothing surprising about this whatsoever.
I started with about 15 of these Parachromis in a similar sized tank, they quickly whittled the group down to 6, being fed 10 small meals per day.
