Jaguars And a Fire eel

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It should be fine As long as the fire eels has hideing spots i would be alot more worried about 2 male jags together in a 180 you might have seious aggression problems and the 2 oscars may get beat up

But if you have good filtration i would give it a go and yes try to get the fire eel bigger shoot for around 16'' but really it depends on the size of the cichlids

that tank will be a disaster man! Don't go for a jag if you already have 2 oscars!

you only have 180 gallons 2 o's and a pleco = 150 gallons MINIMUM let alone 2 jags that need like 75 80 MINIMUM and then theres the ell

Two females would be a better choice but really i would only get one unless they have been raised togeather i would still worry about the oscars might wan't toconsider Dithers if you do try it

As far as Bio load with great filtration and large water changes your fine i've seen 10-15 large cichlids put into 180s and still keep the water quality good but its alot of work a large sump really helps to

Sounds like disaster, but hey itll give you a reason to buy more tanks later!

i had a 26" Fire eel with a smaller female Jag (7") and it worked, ive never owned a male jag so i dunno, id try it, fire eels arent push overs, mine held his own very well, though he was pretty huge LOL
