Keeping fish can be expensive, expecially when you are collection certain fish, i went for polypterus. I have a few of them (7) in a 125g tank.
My solution for keeping losing all this money was too find something too breed.
This will be a long thread with constant questions, but things will be done, slowly, but thats not the point.

TANKS FOR BREEDING

I only have 1 tank set up (the 125g) but will be adding some smaller tanks, both for the breeding fish and their offspring. Atleast 2 tanks will be added at first, 2x 15g tanks, maybe 3 but that depends on the price of the glass.

I will post prices for the glasses as soon as i get them.

Q: How thick should the glass for a 15g tank (24"x12"x12") be?

WHAT TO BREED

I was thinking about breeding Endler guppies and some long fin Ancistrus.
Any ideas for a simple fish too breed that is both small, not a cichlid and not a livebearer?

HOW WILL THINGS TAKE PLACE

One word for that actually...slowly...

1. Buy tanks
2. Buy filters and heaters
3. Buy lighting
4. Buy Java moss
5. Buy the fish

Here is something i made up using google sketchup, you get the idea:
(I have cabinets already to put the tanks on so dont ask why i dont put tanks here and there...)
