Jaquar cichlid sex

Picked her/him up as one of the orphans at my local fish store. Can anyone tell if it's a male or female? I estimate it's about 6-7 inches long.

Thats a tough one. My guess it is female. males have a lot more spots in my experience. Great looking jag either way.

that is a hard one, but looking at the vent area it looks like a possible egg tube I would say female

Thanks....I'm actually hoping it's a female since she's alone in a 75 right now...which hopefully will work long-term?

She will need at least a 125 gal 75 will be tight. My jags got very big. There was no way they would have made it in a 75.

I would agree, it looks to be female to me.
