I have one Jardinii and an Aligator Gar in a tank. My Jar has not shown its agressiveness so I still keep them in one place. Besides, my Gar seems to be hungry al the time and eat a lot; I hope it encorages my Jar to seek for food or there will be nothing for him.
I just put a water-flow maker inside the tank to sweep out all dirty on the tank's bed. My Jar seems to be excited with flowing water, but my fat Gar look like it can not control itself with its tiny fins. It might more comfortable with still water.
Any one know if Gar can live in flowing-water environment or it will be stress to died?
