I found my jar looking like this the other day. It is missing some flesh in front of its eye. Is this a disease, or just a gouge that will fill on its own?

Looks like it injured itself by jumping.. or dashing into something sharp.
Bump temp to 85/86 degrees slowly so it doesn't get a temp shock.
Add aquarium salt accordingly. Keep water pristine, young aros will heal up fast.
For a quicker healing time, use melafix. Good stuff.
