what size do you think is hardy enough to starve a jar in order to get it to eat pellets. mines is about 6-7inches and is ONLY eating freeze-dried shrimp.

err.. i dont think its a good thing.. starving him to eat pellets you know what you do? throw in a mixture.. put the pellets and the freeze dried shrimp in together.. and he will eventually.. think the pellet is a shrimp.. :P usually.. you shouldnt starve them until they mature.. about.. 13+ inches.. as a younging.. should be fed.. as much as they can handle cause they're growing.. just likes kids.. when their young.. their growing so you feed them lots lol

agree. what i did when my jar was about 2" was i wouldthrow in the pellet 1st, if he ate it i would then throw in blood worms as a treat. he caught on pretty quick and i had no problems. took a few days, but he was eating pellets everyday and he would eat the pellets fast knowing he would get a treat after. its like getting little kids to eat vegetables... if you knew you had ice cream after the vegetables you would chomp down the vegetables just to get it over with.
