well i'm gonna be geting a jar this weekend whta is the best diet since i have never owned a aro this size he is about 8"

Depending on what it's eating now, I would go with pellets, shrimp, and smelt.

That's pretty much what my jar is on...I also feed some fish fillets like haddock and pollock.

After killing 2 jars with bad goldfish, I'd recommend only dry or frozen foods.

well i know no gold fish...lol my other fish are eating some pellets and FD shrimp so will be easy

Yeah start your Jar on pellets if its already not on it. Its a pain feeding my 5yr old Jar that I inherited from my uncle because it only eats shrimp. And I have to stuff his shrimp with pellets which can take a while.

The jar that I got would only eat earthworms for a while, then only shrimp after he finally took some. At that size you should be able to just starve him till he eats pellets. Mine devours pellets now and seems to be growing even more. It was 4 years old when it was eating nothing but worms.
