So this is the third time I will try to get these two bratts to com together. The first time I had to take my oscar out because s/he was chasing my jardini and the jar finally back lashed and ripped a whole in his/her side and I woke up to an oscar with a nice flesh wound and ick! I healed the Oscar in a hospital tank and put him/her back... Everything was fine until I starved my Jar for a week in attempt to get him/her on pellets... The oscar gained just enough bulk that week to think s/he owned the tank again, and took off some scales from my jar. Again I separated and attempted to power feed my Jar to give it some size over the oscar. Since then I have tried starving my jar on 3 separate occasions and s/he had only taken in maybe 3 and would just keep spitting them or not even paying attention... So I gave up on that for now and did what I said I'd never do and give him/her feeders. S/he has gained some size and I am trying my last attempt at comming these two, if it does not work I have a friend who is going to take my oscar.
I have also had to take out my baby giant gourami for what ever reason my jar wouldn't stop chasing it and the gourmi is now in the hospital tank where I will heal, grow and try one more time. As of now my jar leaves everyone else in the tank alone. And it has been 4 full days since the oscar has been in the tank and there has been no sign of agro between the two. here are some shots and a short vid.(sorry the video is supper dark, it looked alot better on my cam)

Hmm probably wont work but will be a pretty cool tank if it does.
I might get some gouramis for my tank they look pretty cool, I wonder why he only attacked the giant gourami...

good luck ;)

I know I know, I'm pretty sure you thought I was an idiot last time around high times but I'm pretty sure neither of these fish are capable of killing one another in the matter of one night... there is no ripped fins or missing scales at the end of day 4... and as soon I find any the oscar is going to my buddy and this will be my last attempt. Promise!

I think eventually the jar is gonna punk that oscar.

Hello. Put the oscar and the gurami in an other tank. The jar will chase the oscar and gurami again, if you put them in there. I have tried this several times. That combination never works.

the only thing you'll achieve, Awol, is a stressfull tank. I hate stressfull tanks.

I apreciate everyones concern I really do, and I promice as soon as I see any agro I will seperate them, and this will be my last attempt. I know there will be a lot of disagreement but I'm my philosophy on this is that everything has to be perfictly balanced to work out right. The jar has never been the agressor toward the oscar, every time it's been the oscar harrasing the jar. As of now we are half way through day 5 and I have yet to see any agression between the 2, though I have noticed the oscar hit my cats a couple of times... my oscar dose seem kinda stredsed out though, his/her coloring is still fine but he/she is spending more time in the bottom water column then before. And the jar pays no attentiong to the oscar unless he comes close and s/he seems to avoid the O. Still no torn fins or lost scales as of now so I'm going to sweet it out a little longer to see what happens... having comets in the tank has also seemed to keep the oscar a lot more occupied then before. And for the giant s/he is in a seperate tank until s/he grows atleast another inch or so and I will give that one last try also... I feel if I had 3 big dogs rather then 2 the agro would be displased more....
