my 5in jar hasnt eaten anything in a week. he used to eat market shrimp and squid. he is still healthy looking, but he wont eat. any suggestions to boost his appetite or get him eating? anyone know what is wrong? the fish is in a 125gallon with a lima cat.

ok did you do anything before he stopped eating
like water changes or add a fish to the tank or basically anything which might have spooked him

a month ago, i added the lima, but he was still eating well afterwards. the lima may be spooking him out, but it is so suddenly that he stopped eating. the water quality is fine. do you think i should just wait some more?
if your fish is healthy and swimming pretty well and all then you don't have to worry as jars are like jerksluckypuck;1390383; said:

try live earthworms or crickets they just love them , at least mine does, even when he was upset and was on a hunger strike every time i put a worm or a cricket he ate it
last time my aro stopped eating was because I added rowdy fish to the tank. He stopped eating for days. I thought he got spooked. What actually happened was he tried to eat the pacus but they were too big and he got the craving for eating fish. He stopped eating the things I fed him and wouldn't eat again until I fed him fish small enough for him to swallow. Fortunetly, he grew out of that and is now back on the krill, market shrimp, worms and cricket diet.
