jar scales missing???

my jar is 6 inches..... and some of its scales are missing... dont have any pictures., my cam is in my uncle.. is this normal? or it will grow back? 6 pieces are missing....

tankmates...
peacock bass 5 inches
oscar 3.5 inches
puffer 2.5 inch
clownloach 4 inches..

pls help me....

Well if it wasn't because of a disease then the scales should grow back in about a month. Are you sure that the problem wasn't caused by it's tank mates?If it was caused by it's tank mates then I think peacock bass and oscar since both of this guys were known that never back down in fight and defend themselves head on. Puffer can be dangerous to your jar too but missing scales might not be one of it doing because if the puffer attacked you jar then more likely your jar should have a missing chunk of meat already. hope this could be help for you and good luck

scales will grow back,if its still small should grow back fairly fast

i should slap you. jars are monsters a couple missing scales dont mean sh** to them.

Yep, they should grow back, move some fish to other tanks though bro, meaning: goodbye puffer, goodbye p-bass.

Considering fish dont shed scales naturally, I would think its pretty obvious something in that tank is doing it. Might be a good time to rethink tankmates.

my jar is bout 13'' it has some missing about every 3 weeks .... no clue how/why but he grows em back pretty soon!
