so cal
i have a 4-5" jardini that had ich last month, i got that cured he usually eats like a champ but the last couple of days he is not eating anything, he is just cruising around the tank at a slight angle. the tank is at 77 deg. 0 amm 0 nitrite 7.6 ph steady and between 40-80 ppm nitrates i add salt every water change he isn't getting bullied for until lately he was the bully/ 150 gal tank

don't put in salt thats why the jardini is acting strange!!!!!
thay are fresh water not salt

I always salt, after water change it helps with the slime coat and fight off some parasites, and/or bad bacteria. I use about 1 measured cup per 25 gallons.
Anyways nitrates should be as low as possible, I would do a 30 % water change, salt, and raies the temp gradually, ideally you would probably want to be around 81-82 Degrees

Hope this helps..

is it aquarium salt? i myself also use salt but not that much, i use 1 tsp every 10 gallons, i would not always use salt either, the parasites can build immunity to the salt......
