I was interested in getting some Asian Zebra Lobster aka asian tiger lobsters. How do arows do with crayfish? can the crayfish kill the arow? or is it the otherway around. Thanks Should the crayfish or arrow be bigger? any advice is accepted.

Your jardini will simply snap the crayfish. They have a rather mean streak.lol

my silver eats the occational cray...i don't think a jar would be much diff in that respect...

i feed my jars yabbies all the time, they eat em up to 10cm no worries. of course yabbies or crays will eat fish but are unlikley to pull a decent size jardini down and eat it.
ive seen yabbies sit with pincers open all night waiting for small fish to swim past and they will catch big goldfish feeders and chew the tails of them or chew on their heads.

wouldnt the hard shells on the yabbies pierce their stomachs....or have they got a natural tendenacy to remove the sharps areas of their shells? I wouldnt risk it. I can imagine the yabbies fighting back in the arowanas stomach/mouth...

cray + aro is not a good idea - it may seem okay at first but i agree with posts above - the following circumstances may apply:

  1. aro will kill the cray
  2. aro may die from eating the cray
  3. aro may get damaged fins or scales from fighting with the cray
  4. cray (if big) may kill aro (if small enough) using claws by getting it in the head or eyes or belly
i have tried mixing cray with poly's and they ate the sucker in 30 minutes - i dropped him in and made sum cup noodles  and when i came back :WHOA: the poly's were having the cray for dinner
