  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
maybe something went wrong with his air bladder making him off balance?

well yester day he ate small cooked peeled shrimp and when i got home his head was up and fins in the sand, i switched him to another tank and he stays at the top right now but he seems to not swim to well is he possibly constipated?

i don't think it's going to die, but if it does, lesson learnt for next time.

Don't feed cooked Shrimp to your fish !

The nutrional value is decreased when cooked and neccessary enzymes for digestion are stripped away !

If your going to feed shrimp, make sure it is as fresh as possible with no additives. Freeze them for 24-48hours to remove parasites. Don't buy the peeled shrimp unless you are 100% sure they are fresh and additve free. The ones from the supermarkets always have additves, don't use them.

This is most probable reason why your fish is the way it is.

You can add some epson salt to the tank to help with it's digestion.

If your water paramenters are good, then the fish should ok.

well i moved him from the 250 to a 55 i didn't have any filter for it so i got a wal-mart filter for the time being, he seems the control himself better but only time will tell

So now you have a sick fish in an uncycled tank? Moving to the 55g was the worst thing you could do.

Do you know how the nitrogen cycle works in your aquarium?
Do you test your water parameters in your tanks, if so please post the 4 important ones?
What kind of water change schedule do you maintain, nitrate levels?
There could be a number of things wrong, but is it just the fish or is your tank unhealthy?
