Ive owned a silver in the past and he picked on everyone since he was the larget fish in the tank and he grew reallyfast. Ive been thinking about getting a jardini arowana since they dont grow as large and he wont be the largest one so Im thinking he wont pick on eveyone but ive also had people tell me thire alot more aggressive. I would like to beable to mix him with my agtf, royal ck, and 2 stingrays and maybe adding a gar. what do you guys think? will he just pick on them intill thire dead or will he not pick on them because thier all larger?

You may want to post this in the arow section of the ancient fish forum.

To answer your question though: I'm not sure I'd suggest a Jardini as from what I've heard, they tend to turn into serial killers. If your silver was too aggressive I doubt you'll enjoy a Jar.

I don't think a jardini is what your looking for, you may get incredibly lucky and get a really laid back 1 but that's highly unlikely, their not to bad until they get to around a foot long then they start getting more aggressive. I have heard that banjar arows are calmer and don't get to big if you can get hold of 1? And for the gar I wouldn't recommend it personally because alligator gar just get to big for any aquarium realistically and spotted gars are nocturnal and snap at anything that comes close at night, I know that from experience, never nothing to serious but I don't recommend it. Sorry to put a downer on thing

would I have a better chance if i tryed another silver?

I always hear how mean jars are, but not my experience. Had him till about 20" when tank sprung a leak. The only thing he ever bit was me when feeding. Other then that you could pet him, or he would rub your arm. He was by far the largest fish in the tank. I hear Lei's are more docile. I just ordered one for that reason, but like the jars looks better.
