Jardini arowana wont eat from the top

My jardini arowana does not eat from the top of the tank and waits for the sds to start eating the shrimp or tilapia and then he will snag it from them. The silver dollars eat from the top with no issues.

I wouldn't worry about any fish that doesn't eat from the top as long as it is eating.

Im not really worried I just wanna know if there is a way to get him to eat from the top or should I wait until he/she is bigger.

No training needed. It will eat from the top when it feels like it.

While I agree it's not really a problem, there may be things you can do to get it to eat from the surface more quickly. Bright lights can scare the fish away from the surface. Lack of cover canhave the same affect. I might try some floating plants and dimmer lighting and see if it has an effect.

I will try wen i get back from vacation putting the light on medium setting.
