Jardini Barbels restored!

I've seen pictures and videos of adult Jardinis with their barbels pretty much rubbed off, and so I just assumed it happened.

So when I bought my Jardini and noticed that both his barbels were limp and waving, I thought nothing of it.

Except right now I just noticed that one of the barbels is stiff again!

If you ask me, the barbels are the BEST part of the arowana! =D

When I bought my baby leichardti his barbells were gone as well but seem to be growing in.

Does anyone know why it seems like the Jardinis lose their barbels while the silvers tend to keep them a lot longer?

they only lose them if they get damaged or broken off. all my aro's have their barbels...
