My jardini has some white film on its upper mouth and its skin on the gills are also flaking off. I think it is bashing its head against the filter. Could this be some sort of fungus infection? I'm going to raise my water temp. to 86 degrees and add salt. Tank is 225 gallon. 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, 5-10 nitrate, and pH around 7.4. Anyone else have any advise or past similar experiences?

fungus would be fuzzy fuzzy growth on your aro. if its white, it could be, you're looking at its flesh.
If the grill cover is turning transparent, it could be grill parasites or the slime around its head is gone...
antibiotics + salt would be the way to go. At least from what I can tell...
