Why does my Jardini aro try to attack my plecos at night? He doesent seem to mind them during the day. I feed him everynight before I go to bed but he still tries to eat them..

Is there any reason for this?

ive had a few aros and they all seem to get more aggressive at night. i lost 5 to a over aggressive silver once. last time i tryed that. a friend of mine told me that it is normal for them to be more aggressive at night. but why im not real sure eighter. i have a 7in jar right now but he is real easy going it realy nice. but most jars are very aggressive and bully like. good luck.

my jar is in with a poly and they are both okay - they both nip at the goldfish feeders at night because the fins are all shredded when i check them in the am

you are having a jar and complaining about it being aggressive. jars are best kept alone.read the sticky about jardini and tankmates.

I have about a 6 in Jar and at night he picks on my tinfoil barbs. He about ripped ones eye the other night. I also have a 3 inch Oscar that thinks he is the king but I think the tinfoils distract the JAr, otherwise it might get ugly. You might try some flashy target fish to act as a punching bag for the JAr,,,, might save the pleco.

idk but i just notice none of my jardinis in the past are aggressive like killers
