I bought a jardini months ago about 4" and now is almost about 6" and one thing that I noticed is his pectoral fins and tail gets really dark and have these darkened outline blue in their tails just exactly like a black arowana. I have seen jardini with little blue tint shade color in their tail when they are young plus the lighting of the tank but mine gets really darkened blue color shade that covers his pectoral fins and tail and you can see it when the light are out. Is this normal?

thats normal coloration for a jar. coloration is usually a good sign, meaning the fish isnt stressed.

You'll see several color changes raising a jar. It's an amazing fish with special personality too...

Very normal. My 4" Jar practically has blue fins.
