I have had my Jardini for 2 years now, and he has always been with other fish since I got him at around 5-6 inches...usually cichlids, but now he lives with a bala shark, a RTshark, 3 silver dollars, 1 male festae, 6 clown loaches, a pair of salvini, and a catfish in my 220 gallon.......The funny part is that in the last year he has been beaten up twice by cichlids that grew up with him, then got big and started beating up the Jar:eek:...needless to say, those cichlids were removed! All these guys at present live in peace, with an occasional shot taken at the festae by the Jar.....

cool, jars are easy with other tankmates just other aros are a little pain sometimes but it works

I think the OP and Hao have just got jars that are easier going and are the exception to the rule- also jars are nasty to most fish not just other aros-
and sbuse- you dont have to worry until yours gets in the 10"-12" range- then its on- unless you luck out like the other 2 did

i dont think its luck lol as i kept 5 separate times and they all were peaceful

i have herd this before on the size/rage....i also have herd that it is all about love...and i am lovin my jar good....time will tell...alos i tried to pick a fight once and got put in its place so we'll see as i plan to put it with my 24" silver when the time comes...

did you hear love from anybody else or just one person- and what kind of love are you able to give to a fish- on valentines day are you planning to hold the card up to the tank and toss in chocolate covered goldfish

and hao- what happened to the other 5 jardinis that were loved into peacefulness? did you love to sell them or did you love them into an early grave?

well i herd it from 2 people and you have to read it stories every night so it feels happy at night...if you leave it alone with no stories it will kill...i thought about a valentines day chocolate covered heart, but a goldfish seems more reasonable....i didn't think about the card, but it is a good idea..i may do it...:ROFL::ROFL:...if you call putting it in a tank were if it tries to fight it gets its ass kicked love, then i am guilty...it is a kinda tuff love...:grinno:
