i just got a jardini about five days ago and i cant get him to eat anything besides blood worms, is it healthy to keep feeding him the same food? and is there anything else i can/should be feeding him? anything else i put in there he just ignores

You can train them to eat pellets. We've fed our black aro's, silvers & jardinis here pellets also.

With a new fish I always start off feeding em what the lfs were, then work on expanding their 'taste' in other foods if needed. All foods for fish are relatively healthy so I wouldn't be concerned.. It may not be natural for a jar to eat bloodworms all the time but neither is your aquarium haha. You could try live foods such as crickets or if the guy is big enough mealworms.. Best of luck with him! I treasure mine!

Yea its a good idea to start training em to eat pellets. My jar is a pain, starved for 2 months and still didnt give in. I stoped after that since he became really skittish, now i have to stuff all his shrimp, roaches, fish, and other nice size insects If you got the jar 5 days ago you might want to make sure its nice and healthy before you start the starve to get em to eat pellets.
