Quick question. I know silvers and blacks both have problems with drop eye, but do jardini's have issues with this problem as well?

Most all silvers kept in aquariums develop DE, very few blacks get DE though. Jardini can get DE but not very common.

So is it safer to raise a jar on mostly feeders?

No, live feeder fish is not the best thing to feed. Low in nutritional value and increases the chance of disease.

:iagree: No fish should have a diet consisting mainly of feeders. 1 feeder here or there as a treat or for fun is ok, but best if avoided. I don't use feeders at all, not necessary whatsoever.

from what I've read jardinis are actually much more piscivorious (fish-eating) in the wild than other aros (silvers). However pet store feeders aren't very good nutrition and often carry disease... Theres no reason to raise a jar on feeders especially when they are ussually pretty good about taking pellets and frozen/freeze-dried foods.

Does anybody try feeding live fish besides feeders? For example tetras, cichlids, etc.

Yes, I used to raise convicts for feeders.
