Iv kept silvers befor and found them to grwo quite quickly is this the same for jardini's aswell? thanks.

THey probably grow around the same rate? Since they are close to arowana family? I wouldn't think they would grow any much different. 1.5 to 2 inch a month?> or more? Probably depends on what and how much or often you feed them as well...

Try it out. or google for more answers.

FAST!

I purchased my Jardini at 5-6in, and thin/wide as a butterknife.

Within 3-4 years he attained a size of 16-18 inches and 2lbs 4oz.

This was with a varied diet of silversides, market shrimp, all types of insects, pinky mice, and an occasional lizard.

Almost forgot, this was a 125gal tank. Had he had a bigger tank, I'm sure he could have done a bit better.

i think it's a bit slower than the rate at which silvers grow, but still very fast comparing any other fish

^ agreed :) but not as fast as most cichlids.
