Jardini Growth rate?

Can it be tankmates with a 7"-9" Silver arowana..?
I may not be the norm, but I had one a couple months ago at 3-4inches with a 4-5 silver and in in a month, the silver had him looking like a minnow. I fed him blood worms, brine shrimp, even a few guppies that he would eat, but didn't seem to grow after two month at all or at least not noticable then one morning I guess he was able to fit in the silvers mouth, never to be seen again..
And though I contemplated moving him becasue he was being out grown, I did not pull the trigger fast enoughI have a Jardini in a tank of its own - (silvers are hard to get in my area I believe).
Initially it was about 7.9 inches in length and now its about 14.2 inches in length
(thats about 1.5yrs) of having him. I believe the fish has slowed down in length but is now
really start to thicken in girth as you would say.
It also depends on how much you feed , perform water changes and what temperature its set for
Its in a 160 gallon tank - hope this give you some idea.
