I pick up a 4'' Jardini a few days ago from the LFS,
it hasnt eaten since I took ownership.
and when I go to watch it,
it "hides" in the upper back corner of the tank and/or darts around the tank.
is it possible its still adjusting? or is it just a unfavorable fish?
Thanks.

It's most probably adjusting to the new enviroment. Have a dim light on 24/7 for it will help.

give him time, they're very skittish till they reach like 35cms

Im currently trying to feed it Freezed Dried Plankton and Hikari Cichlid Gold.
If it doesnt eat tomorrow I'll try feeding it some guppies.

Try krickets a few times and then feed him Raw pealed shrimp. He should eat that.
Mine went for about 4 days without eating and then I tried Krickets, he is now fat and happy.

blood worms and cut shrimp may spark his interest. Typically it takes a while to get them on pellets, but it's easily done. You might want to put in some tall or floating plants for him to "hide" in.

I'm curious about plants in the tank,
I have a few fake plants that were given to me
but i am not a big fan of them, is there any good real plants that you would recommend thats only needs low light?
