I was at an LFS today and was talking to one of the clerks about monsters. The conversation came to aro's and he causally mentioned that he has a 4 year old Jardini in a 90g with a butti and a jag. I told him that his fish was probably stunted, and he said no no, his aro is 2 feet long, and has lived in the tank since he was 4". I believe the guy, but i've gotta think there would be health problems with keeping a 2' fish in a 4' tank. Aside from there not being enough room for it, are there any? I want some ammunition for next time I see him :irked:

I dont believe him,i know Jardinis can get aggressive, but it is crammed in there with 2 "killers" if it is true those fish must all be torn up,oh and ask the guy how many times the Jar has jumped out of the tank.

A jardini, a butti and a jag in a 90g.

Actually that would be very sad, seems to me that would be a very unlikely sitsuation. But to answer your question, three large fish would creat a tremendous bio load leading to high nitrates if the filter is sufficient. So many large weekly w/cs. If the filter went down could have a very large ammonia spike very quickly. Not sure about the mental problems the fish might develop.

A four year old, 24" jardini is stunted? Exactly how much experience have you had with Jardinis?
