I have done hours of research and have seen that it is possible to keep a jardini ina 75 for a while...is this true, i would eventually get a larger tank, but think it might be fine for a while in my empty 75.

thanks for the advice
john

Well, jardini's are slow grower, not like silvers. So you can house them in a 75g for a while and plan on upgrading to a bigger tank.

no..they are not slow growers..for the 1st year, almost all arowanas grow at the same rate..let it be silver, black, asian or australian arowanas..it is after 12-14 inches then only the arowana's growth will slow down drastically..my jardini grew from 1.5 inches to 16 inches in 1 year..and now..he is at 17-18 inches.

its a grow out tank only but you can't keep your jardini for long or it will cause complications like gill curl

Yes they are slow growers comparing them to silvers. Silvers grow really fast. My jardini grew just an inch for the last 2 mos. And silvers that i got grew 3" already or more.

almost everyone i know told me that their jardini grows extremely fast in the 1st year and then it slows down.how big is your jardini?silvers start to grow very slowly once they hit 20 or so inches.

I got my silver at 5"s back in the fall hes bout 12-13" now
