jardini jumping?help

hes been jumping.. a lot lately.. not due to the rd either.. he just jumps at random.. that moron.. hes lost so many scales. due to it and some of his fin and what not. what can i do? :( if he keeps this up hes gonna die

What do you mean?? Do you understand my question? I'm asking if you have a lid on your tank of some sort preventing the fish from jumping out. Do you have this? If not, you need to get something to cover the tank making it impossible for it to jump out. Arowanas jump....it's what they do.
 
and how big is that tank..looks like a case of aro stress, to me...
 
i have a lid thats what i meant but he jumps right into the light and the light reflects heat the tank is a 90 gallon and hes only about 6-7 inchs and water quality everything is fine the rd doesnt chase him i know and he eats a lot but he likes to jump for some reason
 
Could be that your Jardini feels threatened by the red devil. It would only take the RD charging at the Jar a couple of times to create this stress. The 90g is too small to house both fish for very long. Your jar is also getting close to the size were they become very deadly towards tank mates. I would look into moving the jar into a larger tank by itself.
 
aro's will jump thats it but there is most likely a problem between the RD and arowana. how long is the RD?
