So my new jardini is being very finicky. It’s eaten a few live crickets and eats a few FD krill but not much
Temp 80f
Nitrates 20
Tank 6x2x2
Fish size 18”
Ph neutral
I’ve tried fresh cod, shrimp and silver sides
I’ve gotten a nibble on the cod, but not much. I’ve had it about a week. Think i should be concerned or is she still getting settled?
The LSF where I got her said she was eating everything from pellets to live fish, basically anything edible that went in the tank
Thanks for any help

Am I missing something, I can’t spot any pipes for filtration, any water circulation and no aeration.
Please point out what I am not seeing.

20 ppm NO3 is on the high side, with what I have read from duanes, it should ideally be no more than 5 ppm.
It's possible if you increase the water replacements 4-fold or more to get it to 5 or less, that could help.

20PPM nitrate isn't ideal, but I very much doubt that it is affecting an aro to any extent, especially over such a short period of time. You will be working hard changing water to reduce that level or even maintain it in a tank that size (150 gallon?) containing that fish.

I would have moved that fish on to a larger tank long before it got that big, rather than moving it in. You are lucky that it wasn"t the 24 inch specimen you were talking about in your other thread...but it will be soon...
