I have seen differant types or colorations of the Jardini arowana. I was wondering if its possible to tell what color they will be later on, ive seen some with gold, greed, red and silver and pink spots.. Im looking forward to get one with the red spots.. Can anyone tell me how to identify them ? or do they get the color based on what they r fed..?

i have the same question but no one seems to know wether its from what they eat or what ever....and thats the same type of color variations i want to get too for a jardini..but no one has one right now

It's related to a few things. Food, gravel color, background color...it can be a combination of anything.

My jar had pink coloration on his scales, operculum, and caudal fin. He eats a lot of krill so it is turning more red on a deep silver/green body. If you give a jar a darker setting, he will get darker...as well as the reciprocal being true.

If you want more reds...feed more krill and do LOTS of water changes.
