I have a Jardini about 10-11 inches in a 360gallon tank. I noticed some fin damage 3-4 days ago and its getting worse. Possible tail fin rot? At first i thought my other tank mates were nipping at his tail but i've never seen that happen. My jardini is the second biggest fish next to my silver aro. I do not see any other fishes with fin rot or damage. I do 30-50% water changes every 1-2weeks. I dont offen test my water condition, so i dont know params. i dont even know if i have a water tester. His diet is mainly peeled market shrimp which he still has an appetite for. What do you guys think it could be? better yet how can I remedy this? Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)

Yikes. Looks pretty bad. Separate into hospital tank then treat. Overhere we use malachite green...not sure if it is available in your area.

Good luck

Two Arowanas in a tank? Might be the silver arowana attacking the Jardini? Two arowana is generally a bad idea. It doesn't look like rotting to me but i'm no expert. Have you tried Melafix? That tends to work pretty well.

I can't open the pix....but most of the times it is not fin rot but shredding due to agression..

The fins are eroded too evenly to be shredding. When fins are 'shredded',they are torn to the base (messy looking fin or tails). In these pictures, the tail is uniformly 'dissolved' with the rigid bits still intact. the fins seem to be intact Imo, fin rot for sure.

if it was aggression some other fish would also have been tattered
what is your stocking and what filteration do you have
what is your feeding schedule

it sure is fin rot

it looks like the fin is frayed open something like fin rot. Doesn't looks like it has been attacked.. U can try adding medication or juz doing a quick surgery by cutting off the frayed area and wait for it to grow again,as the frayed area is infected, which will take around 1-2 mths for it to fully grow back, keep it in a hospital tank for the time being is best to observe its condition.

I would not cut it. Just medicate. Ask your LFS what med they have for fin rot (the cure it not so uncommon at LFS)
