Jardini tank mates????

I am looking into getting a young jardini and have heard that you can't mix them with their own species and they can become agressive. I was just looking for some expamples of fish that you may have kept with jardini. I also keep polypterus and figure they would be good considering they spend most of their time on the bottom. the tank is a 110 .
 
From what i gather any tank mates with a jar is a roll of the dice. When i stock my tank I'm going to try bichirs, dats, perhaps some kind of barb with my jar.
 
You can keep tank mates with a jardini until it is around 10" then it goes crazy and territorial. Polypterus work well if they only hang out in the bottom. My bichirs are good around my jar except my senegal which wont stop swimming and gets jabs from time to time.

Don't have experience with adults but heard they mellow out around small fish.
