any jardini keepers out there had luck with keeping jardini with small community fish like tetras, mollies, barbs, anglefish, etc?
I know most jardini doesn't do good with larger tankmates, what about the much smaller ones?

They would be eaten, same as any with any big predator fish.

even if the jardini is on pellet?

my black never bother with those small fish tho....

I'm sure it is possible. As I keep a school of tetras in my 450g, none of my 4 aros show any interest in them. Depends on a few things though, when I tried giant danios, the two black aros went crazy and hunted them all down with in minutes.

There is a thread on here of someone who keeps his jardini in a planted tank with a couple hundred cardinal or neon tetras.

interesting, I'd love to see some pics of that jardini and tetra com tank

thanks. I've see that thread before. actually its the first one came to mind when you mentioned it, just thought it might be one that i missed cuz I've seen almost all the threats in the media section under Jardini as search key word and don't remember seening other ones.

i tried my jar with a school of feeder guppies (that i raised) after seeing the thread mentioned above by bderick. my jar at first seemed to be so lazy going after those small feeders and left them alone. however the guppies disappeared gradually in the next few days...

my jar is now by himself. even the two plecos that had been with him for almost two years since early days were picked by him a lot at night so i gave them away too. no more tank mate for him.
